Shasta Engineering Enterprises is out on Sanwer Road, in Sector-F of the industrial area. The address is 187-A-I, which is easy enough to find once you get past all the big warehouses near the entrance. This part of the sector is usually covered in a bit of dust because of all the heavy transport moving through the dirt tracks. Our shop is a solid brick building that has survived plenty of seasons and rain. Inside, we have different sections for various engineering tasks. There is a lot of metal scrap in the bins outside and the sound of hammers is pretty much the soundtrack to our entire day. We are not a high-tech lab; we are just a practical engineering firm. Most of the guys wear work boots and grease-stained shirts because that is the kind of work it is. The office upstairs is a bit quieter than the floor, but you can still feel the vibration of the machines through the floorboards. We handle a lot of industrial orders that come in from all over the state. It is not a place for meetings in suits or fancy clothes. Usually, we are just leaning over a blueprint on a workbench trying to figure out how to fix a specific part. It is a straightforward life here. We open up early, check the schedule, and start the machines. By the time we lock up, we are all pretty tired.
