Vasu Engineering Works

Our shop is out on Pithampur Road, right in the heart of the industrial area near Rau. It’s a gritty place to work, but we like it. At Vasu Engineering Works, the floors are usually covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings. We spend our days at the lathes and milling machines, fixing parts or making something new from a raw block of steel. The noise can be a lot if you aren't used to it. I’ve been working here long enough that I don't even notice the hum of the motors anymore. We get a lot of walk-ins from the other factories nearby needing a quick repair or a specific tool made. The Pithampur Road dust gets on everything, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment so it stays precise. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. You’re going to get your hands dirty every single day. We take our lunches together under the shade when it’s hot. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a group of guys who know how to work with their hands and fix machines. We’ve had some tough projects that kept us late into the evening, but we always figure it out. It’s about being practical and getting the job done so the customer can get back to their own work. That’s life in the Rau industrial zone.
