Raj Engineering Works

Raj Engineering Works is located at 407/1 in the Agrawal Compound. This is on the Khatipura Link Road in the Sukhliya area. It is a very industrial setting, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks passing by. The compound is shared with other businesses, so there is usually someone around to talk to. Our workshop is a bit of a rugged place with high ceilings and heavy tools everywhere. The concrete floor has seen a lot of wear over the years. We spend our days mostly working with metal and machines. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months. We have a couple of large fans that keep the air moving, but it’s still tough work. We don't have a fancy office; it’s just a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs for when we need to sit down. Most of our work is done standing up or leaning over a machine. We wear old clothes that we don't mind getting grease on. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to the jobs. We have been in Sukhliya for a long time, and we know most of the people who run the other shops in the compound. It is a simple life of hard work and mechanical repairs.
