Raj Engineering Works

Our workshop is tucked away in the Agarwal Compound over in the Sukhliya area. It is a busy industrial patch with a lot of noise coming from other units nearby, but we have our own dedicated space at No. 407/1. Raj Engineering Works is where we spend our long days dealing with metal, heavy machines, and plenty of grease. It is definitely not the cleanest place in the world, but that is how engineering shops go when you are actually doing the work. We have lathes and various hand tools scattered around the floor because different projects are always in various stages of being finished. Usually, you will find someone welding in the corner or measuring out metal parts for a specific repair. The air smells like oil and iron most of the time. We get visitors looking for specific fixes for their broken equipment or custom metal parts they simply cannot buy in a regular store. It can get pretty dusty inside, especially during the dry summer months when the wind blows through the open gates of the compound. We do not have a big reception desk or an office person. You just walk into the shop and talk to whoever isn't wearing a welding mask or operating a loud machine at that moment. It is hard work and our hands are usually stained dark by the end of the shift. We have been here in Khatipura for a long time.
