Multipurpose Engineering Works

Multipurpose Engineering Works is based in Hukumchand Colony, right in Gali No. 3. We are quite close to the Panchkuiya Temple and the Airport Road. If you are looking for us, you have to navigate the narrow lanes of the colony. It is a local workshop where the sound of metal being worked on is pretty much constant. Being near the airport means we hear the planes taking off all day long. The temple nearby also gives a bit of a local feel to the place with its bells and the people passing by. Our shop is small and packed with tools, lathes, and bits of scrap metal. We started this as a small family-run thing and it has stayed that way. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. Most of us just wear our old clothes and get to work on whatever job has come in. Whether it’s a small repair or making a specific part, we just handle it. We don't really have a website that we update or any marketing flyers. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. We like being part of the colony. It gets hot in the summer and the rain sometimes leaks in a little, but we just put a bucket down and keep working. It is an honest living and we have been doing it for years.
