Manish Dal Mill is tucked away at Plot No-23/2 in Tanji Kanwar Mohalla, which is part of Sajan Nagar. It’s a bit of a local neighborhood, so you won’t find any big corporate signs leading the way. We’ve been milling here for a good while now. The whole place usually smells like raw grains and dust. It’s a noisy business, with the grinders running for most of the day. We aren't the type to wear suits or sit behind desks. You'll find us covered in a bit of flour or grain dust most of the time. We work with the equipment we have and try to keep it running smoothly. Sometimes a belt breaks or a motor gets stuck, and we have to fix it ourselves. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We don’t spend money on advertising because people in Sajan Nagar know where we are. We just focus on getting the dal processed and bagged up for whoever needs it. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we make it work. It’s a lot of physical labor, carrying heavy bags and loading them up, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really have a "vision" or anything like that. We just want to do the work and get through the week. The neighbors are used to the noise by now, and we try to be respectful of the mohalla. We usually clean up the yard at the end of the day and lock the gates.
