Mahalaxmi Dall Mill

Mahalaxmi Dall Mill is located right on Navlakha Main Road at number 83. We’ve been running the mill here for quite some time now. If you walk past, you can usually hear the machines humming away inside. It’s a noisy place, especially when we are processing a big batch of pulses. The air always smells a bit like dust and grain, which I guess you get used to after a while. We aren't a massive factory, just a local spot where the work gets done day in and day out. Most of our neighbors on the main road know us by now. We spend most of our mornings unloading sacks from the trucks and making sure everything is lined up for the machines. It’s heavy work, and our hands are always a bit rough from handling the coarse bags. We don’t have any fancy signs or a reception area. You just walk in and talk to whoever is nearest the door. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the afternoon fixing a belt or cleaning out a jam. That’s just part of the job. We try to keep the place tidy, but with all that grain moving around, it’s a bit of a losing battle. We just focus on getting the dall processed and packed up for the local markets. It’s a simple business, really, and we like being right here on the main road where everything happens.
