Kitchi Bvt Foods

Our place is at Plot Number 51, Palda Naka, right near Saify Nagar. It’s very close to the main road, so it’s easy to find once you get into the industrial patch there. Kitchi Bvt Foods is basically a large shed where we handle all our food production. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets quite loud when it rains hard. We have a small team of about eight people. Most of them live nearby and walk to work. We spend most of the day weighing things out and sealing bags. It’s repetitive work, but we keep the radio on to make the time pass faster. The floor is concrete and we spend a lot of time making sure it stays dry and clean. We don't have any fancy signs out front, just the number on the gate. Trucks come in and out a few times a week to take the boxes to the city markets. Sometimes the traffic at Palda Naka is a nightmare and things get delayed, but that is just how it goes here. We have a small office in the corner with a desk and a couple of chairs where we handle the paperwork. It’s usually dusty because of the trucks passing by outside. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make the food, pack it up, and try to get it out the door on time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
