Kiran Foods

If you ever find yourself at number 27 in Gandhi Ganj, you will see Kiran Foods. It is a bit of a hectic place because Gandhi Ganj is always moving. There are carts and trucks everywhere, and the noise from the market never really stops until late at night. We deal with food items here, mostly bulk stuff that comes in big burlap sacks. The air always smells like a mix of dried spices and earthy grains, which is something you get used to after a week or two. Our building is an old one, and the floors are a bit uneven, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just us doing the work. Usually, we start the day by sweeping out the dust that blows in from the street. Then it’s a lot of weighing and packing. Sometimes the tea boy from around the corner brings us a glass, and we take five minutes to sit on the sacks and talk about the weather or the price of pulses. It’s hard work, and your clothes usually end up covered in flour or dust by noon. We don't worry too much about how the front looks as long as the orders are right. People come here because they know we have been in Gandhi Ganj for years. It is a noisy, busy, and sometimes messy life, but it is what we do every day.
