Inb Food Product Pvt Ltd is found at number 6, right where Indore Namkeen Bhandar is in Panchwati. We are pretty close to R.K. Mall, so there is always a lot of movement nearby. It’s a busy part of town with people coming and going for their shopping. Our place is mostly about the production side of things. There’s always the sound of machines running and people packing things into boxes. It gets a bit hectic around lunch time because the mall traffic picks up. The building itself is sturdy but it’s seen better days. We have a small office tucked in the back where the paperwork gets done. It’s usually covered in notes and old ledgers. We don’t really use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down by hand. The air smells like toasted snacks and oil most of the afternoon. It’s a good smell, though it sticks to your clothes. We’ve got a small group of workers who have been here a long time. We know each other's families and what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s not just a factory to us, it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. When the mall lights come on in the evening, we usually start winding down. We lock up the gates and head out into the Panchwati traffic. It’s a simple routine that repeats every single day without fail. The seasons change but our work stays mostly the same.
