Global Engineering & Construction Co. is over at F-97 Saver Road. It’s a busy spot most days. We spend a lot of time looking at drawings and dealing with site issues that pop up. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get the work done. Some of us have been here for years, while others are newer to the team. We deal with regular construction projects and some engineering bits too. Saver Road can get quite crowded in the mornings so we usually try to get in early to beat the traffic. It’s mostly about keeping things moving on the sites. We handle the paperwork here and talk to the guys in the field. Sometimes things get messy with deadlines but that is just how this business goes. We don't really have a big fancy reception or anything like that. People just drop by if they need to talk about a project. We have a few desks and a lot of old files piled up in the corner. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on supplies. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really do much advertising because most people just know where we are. It’s just a group of us trying to do a decent job every day. The coffee machine breaks down sometimes but we manage. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over time. The street outside has gotten louder recently but the building stays the same.
