You’ll find G.D.M. Foods Pvt. Ltd. at 329/2 in Udhyog Nagar. We are right on Nemawar Road, tucked just behind the Tata Steel Yard. Being behind the steel yard means there’s a lot of clanging and heavy noise from the neighbors, but you get used to it after the first week. Our place is mostly a warehouse and a small processing area. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading crates. The floor is concrete and the lights are those long tubes that flicker sometimes. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come to the door, you’ll probably just find one of us in an apron. Nemawar Road is a major route, so there’s always a lot of dust and exhaust from the trucks. We keep the doors closed to try and keep the products from getting too dirty. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to get the orders filled and out the door. Udhyog Nagar is full of businesses like ours, just working hard and getting through the week. We take our breaks together and talk about the cricket or the weather. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day. 329/2 is our spot, and we’ve been doing this for quite some time now. No fuss, just work. Some of us walk from nearby and others take the bus.
