Decora Furniture is located at 338, Jawahar Marg. We are right opposite the Premsukh Cinema, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone. You can usually hear the music or the crowds from the cinema when a big movie is playing. Our shop is full of the smell of wood and varnish. It’s a bit dusty because of all the sanding we do, but that’s part of the job. We have furniture in various stages of being finished scattered all over the floor. It’s not a neat and tidy showroom like the ones you see in the malls. It’s a real workshop. We spend our days cutting, joining, and polishing. Our hands are usually stained with something by the end of the day. Jawahar Marg is a main road, so there is always a lot of traffic passing by our front door. Sometimes people stop in just because they saw a piece of wood they liked while they were waiting for their movie to start. We don't have any polished sales pitches or brochures. We just show people what we are working on and let them decide for themselves. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it’s worked for us for a long time. We just keep our heads down and try to make things that won't fall apart the minute you take them home. We just work hard and hope for the best.
