Bharat Engineering Works

Bharat Engineering Works. Located at 87/51. It’s right near Sangeet Cinema. You can usually hear the music or the crowds if a big movie is playing. Across the road is Ravindra Vidya Mandir. We see the kids going to school in the mornings and leaving in the afternoons. It’s a busy spot. We’ve been at this workshop for a long time. There is always some metal being cut or something being welded. The floor is usually a bit dusty. We don’t have a front desk or anyone in a suit. It’s just us in our work clothes. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone busy with a machine. We do engineering work, mostly fixing things or making parts that people need for their own machines. It’s not glamorous. The address is easy to find because of the cinema. Sometimes it’s hard to park because of all the people going to the theater. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The building is old, but it works for what we do. We have some heavy tools and benches. It’s a practical space. We don’t spend much time cleaning up for visitors. It’s an engineering shop, after all. Just a regular place on a busy street. We like being part of the neighborhood here. It’s got a good energy with the school and the cinema right there. That’s about it for us at Bharat Engineering Works. We stay busy and keep working.
