You can find Venkateswara Enterprises at 35-36-34 Kamala Nagar. We are right opposite the fruit market, which means there is always something going on outside our front door. The smell of fresh fruit and the shouting of the vendors is the soundtrack to our workday. Our shop is a bit of a mix of everything. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and we often have to use a tall ladder to get things down for people. It is not the most modern looking place, but it is comfortable and familiar to the people who live around here. We know many of our customers by name. They stop in to buy what they need and usually stay for a few minutes to talk about the local news. The sidewalk in front of us is usually crowded with people going to the market. We try to keep our entrance clear, but it’s a bit of a struggle during the peak hours. Inside, we have a small counter where we handle the cash and wrapping. It gets a bit dusty because of all the foot traffic, so we are always sweeping. We don’t have any big marketing plans or fancy displays. We just put the items on the shelves and wait for people to come in. It is a steady way to live and work. Kamala Nagar is a lively neighborhood to be in.
