Being located at Sy.No.67 in Kachivanisingaram means we are a bit outside the main city rush. This part of the R.R District has its own pace. At Susheela Granites Pvt. Ltd., we spend the morning checking the stock that came in and seeing what needs to be moved. The yard is big enough for the trucks to turn around, which is lucky because some of those trailers are huge. Most of the day is just moving stone from one side to the other. You have to be careful with the edges. We see a lot of people coming through Ghatkesar looking for materials for their houses. It’s mostly just us and the guys working the machinery. There’s no air conditioning out in the main area, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. The address isn't the easiest to find if you aren't looking for it, but once you see the piles of granite, you know you’re there. We’ve been at this spot for some time, and the neighbors are mostly other industrial shops. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s where we do our work. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the orders. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we deal with it and keep working. It's just granite and grit most days.
