Our office at Andhra Pradesh Granite Midwest Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away on Road No 12. Specifically, we are at Plot No 25 26, which is part of that 8/2/684/3 block. It can be a bit confusing for the delivery drivers the first time they come here because the numbering on this street is a little odd. We have been here for a good amount of time and the neighborhood has grown up around us. It’s not a very quiet area since there is always some construction or a truck idling nearby. Granite is heavy stuff, so there is a lot of heavy lifting and crane work going on in the yard. I usually spend my time in the small office area or out checking the slabs. The stone arrives in big blocks and then things get busy. It's a messy job sometimes with the water and the cutting, but we are used to it. We don't have any fancy brochures or people in suits walking around. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes trying to get through the list of things to do before the sun goes down. Most of the guys have been here since the start. We know the local tea stall owner well and he brings us snacks when we have a long shift. It’s just a regular business doing what we know how to do every day without much fuss.
