Gajanand Marble And Granite

If you’re driving down the High Tension Road near Netaji Nagar X Road in Kapra, you might have seen our yard. We are at Plot No 5 Part 6 and 16. It’s a big space because marble and granite take up a lot of room. Gajanand Marble And Granite is basically a place where we keep heavy stones and cut them when needed. There’s always dust in the air and the sound of water sprays and saws. It’s heavy work, moving these slabs around without cracking them. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we have a feel for the stone. It’s not a clean, air-conditioned showroom. It’s a working yard in Bhavani Nagar. People come by to look at the different patterns in the rock. We just show them what we have in stock at the moment. Some days we get a fresh shipment and everything has to be moved again. It’s a lot of physical labor. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just us and the stones. We try to keep the pieces organized by color and size, but it gets messy when we are busy. We’ve got different types of granite and marble depending on what we can get our hands on. It’s a straightforward business, really. You pick a stone, we help you get it. The sun is usually pretty hot out here, but we stay busy.
