Sri Krishna Granite & Marbles

If you’re ever near the Miyapur Metro Station, you’ve probably seen our yard. Sri Krishna Granite & Marbles sits right on the main road at Plot No-206 and 207 in Matrusri Nagar. It’s a dusty place because of all the stone being moved around. We have slabs of granite and marble stacked up everywhere. Some are heavy and need the crane, while others we move by hand. It’s hard work, and my clothes are usually covered in stone dust by noon. I’ve been here since before the metro was even finished. The area has changed a lot, but we’re still doing the same thing. People come in looking for stuff for their kitchens or floors. We show them what’s in stock. Sometimes the piece they want is at the bottom of a pile, so we have to move everything. It’s a lot of physical labor. We don’t have a fancy air-conditioned office. Most of the talking happens right there among the slabs. Rain can be a pain because it makes everything slippery. We just deal with it. I have a few guys who have been with me for years. We know the stones well. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s honest. We don’t do big marketing campaigns. The slabs speak for themselves. If someone likes what they see, they buy it. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Miyapur.
