Shreejee Granite & Marbles

We are set up at Plot No. 55/A & B in Mamta Nagar, right by the Nagole Ring Road. Being near the ring road means there is a lot of dust and a lot of trucks, but that’s just how it goes for a stone yard. At Shreejee Granite & Marbles, we spend most of our time outside or under the basic shed moving these heavy slabs around. It is back-breaking work sometimes, especially when the sun is beating down on the Hyderabad streets. We have a lot of different types of granite and marble leaning up in rows. You have to be careful where you step because there are often small pieces of stone on the ground. We don’t have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s usually just us, some dusty clothes, and a tape measure. People come in from the main road looking for something specific for their house. We just show them what we’ve got in the stacks. Sometimes we sit around the small table in the corner and have a glass of water while we wait for the next delivery. It’s not a glamorous job, but we take it seriously. We’ve been in Mamta Nagar for a while now, and the locals know where to find us. We don't bother with fancy talk, we just let the stones speak for themselves.
