Shree Shantinath Grani Marmo

Being in Madhapur at Swamy Ayyapa Society means we see a lot of people building new places these days. Our spot at Plot No. 790/791 is usually full of granite and marble slabs leaning against each other. It is a bit of a maze sometimes when you are walking through the rows. Shree Shantinath Grani Marmo has been our life for years now. We start the day early, usually checking the stock that came in overnight. Granite is heavy, and moving it requires a lot of care so nothing cracks. We have seen the village of Khanamet change quite a bit since we first set up here. Back then, there was not nearly as much traffic as there is now. Now, the roads are always busy. Customers come in looking for something specific for their floors or counters. We just show them what we have on the lot. There is not any polished talk here. We tell them if a stone has a natural flaw or if the color varies from one batch to the next. It is better to be honest about that stuff up front. The sun can get really hot out in the yard, so we do a lot of the heavy work in the morning or later in the evening when it cools down. It is just me and a few workers trying to make a living and getting stones to people who need them for their projects.
