Sg Granite

At Sg Granite, we’re located at 79-46/5 in Hylam Colony, which is part of the Jubilee Hills area. Even though it’s a fancy neighborhood, our yard is pretty basic. We’ve got slabs of all sizes tucked into the corners of the lot. It gets a bit cramped when a new truck arrives and we have to shuffle everything around to make space. The guys here have been working with stone for a long time, so they know how to handle the weight without much trouble. We don’t have a big sales team, usually just one of us greets whoever comes through the gate. Jubilee Hills is busy, but Hylam Colony stays a bit quieter, which is nice for when we’re trying to talk to a customer. People come in looking for something specific for their new homes. We just show them what we have on the racks. Sometimes the stone has natural marks or spots that people don't like, so we have to move three or four slabs just to find the one they want. It’s a lot of physical work and my back usually aches by the end of the day. But that’s just part of the granite business. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we lock up and do it all again the next morning. It's just a regular way to make a living.
