Sarfaraz Granites

Sarfaraz Granites is tucked away at A23/63 in Green Hills Colony. It’s a bit quieter back here compared to the main roads of Kothapet or Ramakrishnapuram, which is nice for us most of the time. We spend the day surrounded by heavy slabs of stone stacked against the walls. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of lifting and moving things around to show customers what’s underneath the top piece. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, even inside our tea cups if we aren't careful where we put them. We’ve seen the colony change a bit over the years as more houses go up. People come by after they finish work to look at the granite we have sitting in the lot. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment comes in, the whole place looks like a bit of a mess for a few days. That’s just the nature of the business. My brother and I usually handle the unloading ourselves. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with bright lights and stuff. It’s just the yard and the stone. If you come by Ramakrishnapuram, you’ll see our sign. We just stay busy with the measurements and making sure the slabs are loaded safely onto the carts for transport. It’s a long day usually, but we like being in Green Hills Colony. It feels like home to us now after all this time spent working with the rocks here.
