Sameer Tiles

Sameer Tiles is located over at 363-9 in Singai Pally. If you know the Hakimpet area, you probably know where we are. It’s not a huge place, but we keep it packed with as much as we can fit. Moving tiles is hard work on the back, so we take it slow and try not to break anything. Some days are really busy with people coming in to look at patterns for their kitchens or bathrooms, and other days we just sit and wait for the delivery truck. We’ve got a small area where we display the different styles so people can touch them and see the colors in the light. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we’re always wiping things down with an old rag. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, it's just a few of us here. We usually eat our lunch in the back room between customers. It’s nice being part of the Singai Pally community because you get to see what everyone is working on. A lot of the local guys come in just to chat about their projects. We’ve been here for a bit now and we know how the local trade works. It is mostly about being here when people need something and having it ready to go. No big secrets to it, just keeping the shop open and the tiles stacked straight.
