We call it Ownveg because we like the idea of people growing their own stuff. It’s a small operation. Just a few of us in an apartment. We have a lot of books about plants and a couple of computers. It’s a quiet place to work. We spend our time talking to people who want to grow vegetables. Sometimes we go out to visit gardens or small farms. West Marredpally is a nice area. It’s got a lot of trees and it’s not as loud as the rest of Hyderabad. We don't have a big corporate structure. We just make decisions as they come up. It’s a very practical way to run a business. We don't use any fancy language. If someone has a problem with their tomatoes, we just tell them what we think. It’s honest work. We like being part of the community here. We have our coffee together in the morning and then we get to work on the day's tasks.
