We are located over at Shop No. Iv-A, 3A, in the Bharani Complex right on Minister Road. If you know this part of town, you know the traffic can be a real headache, especially during the rush hours. But being on Minister Road means we are right where the action is for building materials. Our shop isn't massive, but we pack a lot of granite and marble samples into the space. Orient Granites has been here long enough that the other shop owners nearby are like family. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the suppliers or talking to contractors who stop by to pick up samples for their clients. It gets a bit noisy with all the cars and horns outside, but inside we just focus on the stone. Every piece of granite has its own look, so we spend a lot of time explaining why two slabs might look different even if they came from the same place. It’s a lot of lifting and showing, then cleaning up the floor because stone always leaves a bit of a mess. We don't have any fancy brochures. People just come in, look at what’s on the racks, and we talk about the price and when we can get it delivered. It’s a simple setup, really. We just try to keep the shop tidy and the records straight so we don't lose track of anything.
