Poddar Granites

You can find us over at Plot No. 19, right across from Mamatha Nagar near the Nagole X Road. It’s a big open area which is good because granite slabs take up a lot of room. Being near the crossroads means there is always a lot of noise from the trucks and cars passing by. We spend most of our time outside in the yard moving stones around. It’s heavy work and you have to be careful with your feet and hands. The dust gets everywhere, especially when the wind picks up around Nagole. We have different types of granite stacked up, and we spend our days showing people the patterns in the stone. No two slabs are exactly the same, which is the interesting part of the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a practical yard where work happens. Sometimes the rain slows us down, but mostly we’re out there from morning until the sun goes down. We talk to a lot of builders and homeowners who are trying to pick something for their kitchens or floors. It’s a straightforward business. We tell them what we have, show them the prices, and help them load it up. It’s a bit of a rough environment, but we’re used to it. The neighbors are mostly other businesses like ours, so we all know each other and help out when someone needs a hand.
