We are Madhusudan Grani Marmo Pvt Ltd, right across from the Andhra Bank on Road No 1 in Jubilee Hills. If you’re in this part of town, you know it’s a busy stretch. We spend our mornings checking what came in on the trucks. Marble is delicate, so you have to move it just right or you lose a whole slab. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a stone business. The office is usually a bit noisy with the traffic outside and the guys moving stuff in the back. We see all kinds of people coming in. Some know exactly what they want, and others just want to look at everything we have. We show them the different patterns and talk about how thick the slabs are. It’s a practical job. No one is wearing suits here; we’re mostly in work clothes because of the dust. Stone is heavy and messy, but it’s what we know.
