Madhukar Tiles Co.

Madhukar Tiles Co. sits at 501 Uppal Road. It's a pretty busy spot, and we've been here for quite a while now. The shop is mostly just rows and rows of tile samples leaning against the walls. We don't have any of those fancy showrooms with bright lights or expensive decorations. It’s just a regular building where we do our business every day. Most of the people who come in are neighbors or local builders who need a few boxes for a small project. We spend a lot of time checking the stock in the back to make sure we actually have what people are looking for. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of traffic, and we have to explain that to the customers, which isn't always fun. But we try to be straight with everyone. Working with tiles is heavy, and my back usually aches by the time evening rolls around. We don't mind, though. It's a steady job. We have different patterns and some plain ones too. People spend a long time picking between two shades of grey, and we just let them take their time. There’s no rush here. We aren't some big chain store where nobody knows your name. If you come in a few times, we’ll probably remember what you’re working on. Uppal Road is a good place for us. It’s easy for the trucks to get in and out, which makes our daily work much easier.
