Kothari Marble & Granites

Our place is at Plot No. 226 in Sri Nagar Colony. It is a nice enough spot, a bit away from the main noise of the bigger roads in the city. We have been operating Kothari Marble & Granites from here for many years. It is basically a large open yard where we keep our marble and granite slabs. We do not have a fancy display or anything like that. The stones are just lined up in long rows. If someone wants to see a particular piece, we might have to move three or four other slabs out of the way first. It takes quite a bit of time and physical effort. We use white chalk to mark the dimensions and the prices on the corners of the slabs. It is the easiest way to keep track of everything in the sun. The colony is mostly residential, so we try not to make too much noise very early in the morning. We get a lot of local contractors who come by because they know we are always here. The office is just a small corner with a few plastic chairs and a fan that barely works in the middle of summer. We spend most of our time out in the yard anyway. We show people how the colors change when you pour a little water on the rough surface. It is a simple way to work, but it is how we have always done it.
