We are located over on Road No 10 in Banjara Hills. It’s a nice part of town, but our work is still pretty gritty. Dealing with granite means you’re always around heavy stuff. We’ve got this spot at 8-2-603/13/3/N/B where we keep our samples and handle the business side of things. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work. People come in from the neighborhood looking for something sturdy for their kitchens or floors. We show them the granite pieces we have available. Every stone looks a bit different, which is what makes it interesting. Sometimes a piece has a weird vein through it and we have to explain that’s just how nature made it. We spend our days on the phone with the quarries or talking to contractors who are in a hurry. The traffic on Road 10 can be a real pain during lunch hour, so we usually just stay in and eat. We aren’t trying to be the flashiest place on the block. We just know our stone and we know how to get it delivered. It’s a lot of writing down measurements and double-checking the square footage so there are no mistakes later. My hands are usually dry from the stone, but that's part of the trade. We’ve been doing this a long time and we just take it one day at a time. It’s a decent living and we like the people we meet.
