Being near the Monday Market on Cinema Road makes for some interesting days. We are right here in Sangareddy, and when market day rolls around, it gets pretty crowded outside. Our shop, Jawa Ladies Foot Wear And Cosmetic, is mostly filled with stuff for women. We have rows of shoes and then the section for cosmetics and smaller items. It’s a bit of a mix, but that’s how we like it. The space is used up pretty well, maybe even a little tight when there are several people inside at once. Hyderabad is a bit of a drive, but we are well-settled here in Sangareddy. Most of our customers are locals who know us by name. We spend our time restocking the lipsticks or rearranging the sandals when things get out of place. It’s not a high-end boutique or anything like that. Just a shop where you can find everyday things without much fuss. The lights inside could be brighter, but they do the job. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when it’s slow. We’ve seen the cinema road change over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s simple work, looking after the inventory and helping people find their size. People come in for a pair of slippers and end up looking at the bangles too. That’s just how it goes here. We make sure to open on time and keep the place tidy. We enjoy it.
