R V Foot Wear

We are situated at Shop No 41, which is quite close to the Ramalayam temple in the Kukatpally area of Balanagar. You can often hear the temple bells or the sounds of people walking to the shrine on festival days. Our shop is filled with the smell of new shoes, which is a strong mix of leather, glue, and rubber. We have boxes stacked high against every wall, and sometimes it is hard to reach the ones at the very top without a stool. We spend a lot of time taking shoes out of boxes and putting them back in after people try them on. Customers come in and try on many different pairs, often leaving the benches a bit messy with discarded tissue paper. We have a few small mirrors on the floor so they can see how the footwear looks on their feet. The floor is covered in a simple rug that has seen a lot of use over the years. Outside, the street is usually busy with people shopping for vegetables or clothes. We have a small ceiling fan that blows air towards the entrance to keep the shop from getting too stuffy. It is a small space, so we have to be very careful where we put new stock when it arrives. Often, we are just moving things around to make more room for new styles. We have a simple wooden counter where we keep our ledger and a pen on a string. It is a humble place, just a local shoe shop.
