Indus Shoe Industry

Being out here in Phase 3 of Cherlapally means things stay pretty busy with all the industrial traffic. We are in Office No 119, and the railway station is close enough that you can hear the trains passing by throughout the day. Indus Shoe Industry is basically where we spend all our hours making sure the production keeps moving. It is a lot of work dealing with materials and checking the soles and the stitching. The office is not very big, and it is usually full of boxes or samples sitting on the desks. We have people coming in and out from the station, mostly workers or delivery guys trying to find the right plot. The weather here in Cherlapally can get quite rough, especially when it is dry and dusty. We don’t have much time for sitting around. Usually, there is a list of things to do that never seems to end. Making shoes involves a lot of small steps that people don't really think about until they see the process. It is just a regular workplace with a lot of noise from the nearby units. We keep the coffee pot going and try to stay on top of the schedule. It is a bit out of the way for some, but being near the station helps with the logistics of getting things shipped out. We just focus on the daily tasks and keeping the machines running.
