Hari Om Granite & Marble

Our yard is located out on the Nagole Ring Road in Kothapet, right at Plot 167. It’s a noisy spot because of all the traffic, but it’s easy for the big trucks to pull in and unload the stone slabs. We have rows of granite and marble leaning against the frames. Some are dusty from sitting out, and some are polished and shiny. I spend a lot of my time walking people through the rows, showing them the different patterns. Granite is heavy stuff, so we spend half the day just moving things around with the crane or by hand when it’s smaller pieces. The water from the cutting machine makes the floor wet and messy, but that’s just how it goes with stone work. Sai Nagar is a good area, and we get lots of people building new houses nearby. They come in with their measurements on a piece of paper, and we try to figure out how many slabs they’ll need. Sometimes the edges chip and we have to trim them down. It’s not perfect work, but it’s solid. My clothes usually have white dust on them by lunch time. We don't do much advertising; mostly just people seeing the signs for Hari Om Granite & Marble from the ring road and stopping their cars to take a look at what we have in the yard.
