Hari Harsha Marbles & Granites

Hari Harsha Marbles & Granites is sitting right opposite the Reliance Petrol Pump on the L.B. Nagar-Uppal Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of exhaust and noise from the passing cars and buses. We have a mix of marble and granite here. Most of our space is just taken up by the big slabs standing upright in rows. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, it usually gets a bit chaotic for a day or two. My brother and I run the place with a couple of helpers. We don't have a website or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we have, they just pull over and walk into the yard. It’s a very hands-on job. We spend a lot of time washing the dust off the stones so people can see the colors properly. The sun hits this side of the road pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy loading done in the morning hours. We’ve been at this location for quite a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. But the stone business stays pretty much the same. You buy it, you cut it, and you sell it. We just try to stay honest and keep the yard moving. Sometimes the rain makes everything a bit slippery, so we have to be extra careful with the slabs then. Everyone just does whatever needs doing at the time. Whether it’s talking to a customer or helping move a heavy piece of granite, we all pitch in.
