We are situated right at the Kothaguda X Roads, No. 1-96. It’s a very busy spot with all the traffic coming through the intersection. You can hear the horns honking all day long from the shop front. We’ve been selling footwear here for a good while, mostly just helping people find something comfortable for their daily walk to the bus or work. The shelves are packed with all kinds of stuff, from simple slippers to school shoes. It gets a bit cramped when a whole family walks in at once, but we make it work. We know most of the regulars who pass by every morning. Sometimes they don't even buy anything, they just stop to say hello or check the time. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains because of the road outside, but we just mop it up and keep going. We don’t have any of those big flashing lights or loud music playing. It’s just a straightforward shoe shop. We try to keep a bit of everything in stock because you never know what someone is looking for. It’s a lot of standing on our feet all day, which is ironic since we sell shoes. But we like the buzz of the X Roads. There is always something happening outside the door, and that keeps the day moving fast. We’re just local people trying to provide something useful for the neighborhood and making a living.
