If you're walking through Sri Ram Nagar in Yousufguda, you’ll find us at shop no 7. Fashion Foot Wear is where we keep all sorts of shoes, from sandals for the house to sturdier things for walking on these Hyderabad streets. The shop isn't very large, so the smell of leather and rubber is pretty strong when you first walk in. We’ve been here for a good while, and the shelves are getting a bit worn down from all the boxes. We don't have a fancy display window. Most of our shoes are just out where people can see them and try them on. Sometimes the sizes get mixed up when people are browsing, and we have to spend the evening putting everything back in the right boxes. It's a lot of bending over and reaching for high shelves. My back usually aches a bit by the time I lock the door. We aren't a big chain store. We just source what we can and hope people like it. The 500045 area has a lot of foot traffic, which is good for a shoe shop. We see a lot of worn-out soles coming in and hopefully, better ones walking out. We don't do anything flashy. It is just a straightforward place to get footwear. Sometimes we run out of the popular sizes quickly and have to wait a week for more to arrive. It takes time to get things from the suppliers, but we do our best to stay stocked. We usually sweep the entrance twice a day.
