Ellora Granites

Ellora Granites is located at 1A9 on Trichy Road in Namakkal. This part of the country is famous for its stone, and we are right in the thick of it. The yard is usually full of slabs of granite waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It is a very dusty job, and our clothes are usually covered in a fine grey powder by the time we go home. Trichy Road is always busy with heavy trucks moving back and forth, so there is a constant sound of engines. We’ve been working with stone for a long time. It’s hard work and it’s heavy, but there is something good about seeing a rough block turned into something smooth and polished. We have a small office shed near the entrance where we keep the books and talk to customers. There isn't any air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that rattles a bit. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or salesmen. Most of our clients come from the construction sites nearby or are builders we have worked with for ten years. We just show them what we have in stock, agree on a price, and get it loaded up. Namakkal is a tough place to work in the heat, but we get used to it. We just focus on getting the slabs cut right and making sure the trucks leave on time. It is simple work but it is honest.
