Duncan Marbles & Granites

Duncan Marbles & Granites is at 2-14-73 in Journalist Colony, which is part of the Jubilee Hills area. This is a well-known neighborhood, and we have been working out of this spot for a long time. We keep a variety of marble and granite stored here for people to look at. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because of the way the colony is built, but we have figured out how to make the space work for us. Most of our mornings are spent checking the stock and moving pieces around with the lifter. The people living around here are used to us by now, even when we make a bit of noise moving the heavy slabs. We keep a logbook of what comes in, but sometimes we forget to write it down. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. It is just us and the stone. Most people find us because they live nearby or their contractor told them about our yard. Jubilee Hills is a busy place, and there is always a lot of traffic right outside our gates. We try to keep our business dealings very simple and direct. If someone needs a certain type of granite, we just show them what we have available. We do not try to talk anyone into buying something they do not need. A lot of our time goes into the logistics of getting deliveries in and out through the narrow streets.
