Deccan Foot Wear is located right opposite the Humayun Nagra Police Station. We are also sitting right beside the Masjid-E-Azizia in the Mehdipatnam area. It is a very lively spot to be in because there is always something happening outside the door. You have people going to the mosque for prayers and others visiting the police station for various reasons. Mehdipatnam is a major hub, so the noise of buses and cars is something we are very used to by now. The shop itself is quite small and packed to the ceiling with all kinds of shoes. We have slippers, sandals, and formal shoes all crammed onto the shelves. Sometimes it feels a bit tight when there are a few customers inside at once. We don’t have a fancy cooling system, just a couple of fans that keep the air moving. The floor is often a bit dusty from the feet of people coming in off the street. We’ve been at this location for a long time and most of the regulars know us by name. It’s a simple business where we just show people what we have and help them find a pair that fits. We don’t do any big advertising. The location next to Masjid-E-Azizia is the best way for people to find us. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s just a regular shoe shop in a busy part of town. We are always here if you need shoes.
