Bansal Marble & Granites

Started this place near Srinagar Colony a while back. It is just a yard filled with stones, really. Most days involve moving slabs around with the crane and making sure nothing chips. Bansal Marble & Granites is at 103, Kamalapuri Colony if you are looking for the exact spot. It gets dusty here, especially when the wind picks up, but that is just part of working with marble and granite. People come in looking for floor tiles or maybe something for their kitchen. We show them what is in stock. Sometimes the colors don't match exactly what they saw in a magazine, but that is how natural stone works. We spend a lot of time checking the edges of the granite. Every piece is heavy. If you walk in, you will probably see us loading a truck or sitting by the desk with a cup of tea. It is not a fancy showroom with air conditioning and bright lights. It’s a practical space. We’ve lived around here for years, so we know the neighborhood well. Some days are slow, and we just reorganize the stacks. Other days, three trucks show up at once and it is a bit of a mess. We try to keep things moving. There isn't much to it besides having the stone ready when someone needs it for their house project. Most of our regulars are local builders who know exactly where we are and how we work.
