Being in Kukatpally means we deal with a lot of noise and traffic right outside our gate at 36-9-42. It’s a very busy area these days. We have a warehouse where we store all our granite slabs. Despite the name on the sign, it’s just a small group of us running things. We get our stone from several different places and try to have a good variety for people to choose from. Sometimes it is a real struggle to get the big trucks in and out because the road gets so crowded. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the slabs so we can reach them easily. It’s important to keep them in order so we don't have to move too many pieces to get to the one a customer wants. We only have about five people working here. We do all the cutting on-site which makes a lot of noise and a big mess with the water. Most of the people who come to see us are locals from the neighborhood. They usually just want something simple that will last a long time. We don't use any pressure or fancy sales talk. We don't even have a website to show off. It’s just the shop and the stacks of stone. We stay open until late evening most days. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we know how to do for the last decade.
