Ashok Kumar Tiles

Our shop, Ashok Kumar Tiles, is located at 3-126, Ground Floor, Puppalaguda, right in the Manikonda area. We are directly opposite the State Bank of India, which makes it pretty easy for people to find us. It’s a busy neighborhood and there’s always something happening on the street. Inside the shop, things are a bit more practical. We have rows and rows of tiles standing against the walls. It’s not a big corporate office; it’s just a place where we do our work. I spend most of my time answering the phone and helping people figure out how many tiles they need for their rooms. Sometimes I get the math wrong and have to do it over, but that’s just how it goes. We don’t have any slick marketing material. We just rely on people seeing our sign and stopping in. It’s a lot of manual labor, as tiles aren't exactly light. My back usually aches by Tuesday, but you get used to it. We see a lot of families coming in to pick things for their new homes, and it’s nice to see them excited. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just here to provide what people need for their floors and walls. We keep the doors open six days a week and try to stay on top of the inventory. It’s a basic business, run by regular people who live nearby.
