Ajay Marbles

We've been at Plot No. 19 in Madinaguda for a while now. If you look for the Hyundai showroom or the Reliance Digital, we're right around there. It’s usually pretty loud with the traffic outside on the main road, but inside we just focus on getting the slabs moved and sorted. People come in looking for stuff for their floors or kitchen counters. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the white dust from the cutting, but that is just part of working with stone every day. We spend a lot of time checking the stock to see what came in from the trucks this morning. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, making the stones hot to touch, which isn't great for the guys moving them. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that, just a desk and a few chairs where we sit and talk to anyone who stops by. Sometimes people get lost trying to find us despite being near the big landmarks, so we tell them to look for the stacks of marble near the fence. We've got different colors and sizes piled up, and moving them takes a lot of work with the small crane. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, open the gates, and see who needs help with their project. It isn't always easy work, especially when the weather is bad or the humidity is high, but we keep at it.
