Aarks Stonex

We have been running Aarks Stonex out of Plot No 25 in Vysya Bank Colony for a while now. It is a busy spot here in Hasmathpet, especially when the trucks come in with new blocks. If you have ever walked through Old Bowenpally, you probably know how much dust comes with this kind of work. We spend most of our mornings moving slabs around and checking the edges of the marble and granite. It is heavy work and there is not much glamour to it, but it keeps us busy. People come by to look at samples and we just show them what is sitting in the yard. Sometimes the sun is really hitting the stones and you can see the patterns better. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of stone. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers making sure things get cut right. Some days are slower than others, but there is usually something to do, whether it’s cleaning up the scraps or talking to someone about a countertop they need. We try to keep things simple here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years from our little spot in the colony. It gets loud with the saws running, but that is just part of the day. We are here from early morning until the sun starts to go down usually.
