Veg Hut

Veg Hut is located at 388, G.T. Road, in the Salkia area of Howrah. We are quite close to Oriya Para, which is a well-known part of Salkia. Being on G.T. Road means there is always a lot of activity right outside our door. It’s a busy, dusty road with trucks and buses going by all day. We set up this little vegetarian hut to give people a place to sit down and have a simple meal away from all that chaos. The place is small and the furniture is just basic, but it serves its purpose. We don't have any fancy chefs; we just have people who know how to cook traditional veg food. We spend our mornings getting everything ready for the lunch rush. Since it's a busy area, we get a lot of laborers and shopkeepers who want something quick and affordable. We don't use any complicated recipes. It’s just the kind of food we eat ourselves. Sometimes we run out of space during the peak hours, so people have to wait a little bit or take their food to go. We do all the work ourselves, from the dishes to the cooking. It’s not a polished corporate operation by any means. It’s just a small, honest business trying to make a living on G.T. Road. We’ve been here for a while and plan to keep going as long as people keep coming in.
