Banerjee Caterer

We run Banerjee Caterer out of 13/3, Benode Behari Halder Lane in Shibpur. It’s a small operation, mostly just us and a few helpers in the kitchen. We’ve lived and worked in Shibpur for years, so most of the neighbors know who we are. The lane is pretty quiet compared to the main roads, which is nice. Most of our work involves prepping food for local events, weddings, and small gatherings. It’s a lot of chopping, cooking, and packing. The kitchen is always hot and smells like spices. We don't have a fancy storefront or a big website. Most people just call us or stop by the house on Benode Behari Halder Lane when they need something. It’s hard work, especially when we have a big order to get out early in the morning. We just focus on making the food the way we’ve always done it. There’s no corporate strategy here, just simple cooking. We use the same pots and recipes that have been in use for a long time. It’s a family-style business, really. We just want to get the job done and make sure the food is ready on time. Shibpur is a good place to be, and we like the local feel of the neighborhood. We aren't trying to be the biggest in town, just reliable. It keeps us busy and we like the people we meet along the way.
