You can find us over in Howrah at G.I.P. Colony. The office is at 30 Subinoy Ghosh Sarani, which is actually part of the house belonging to Apurba Nanda Das Chakladar. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main parts of town, which we actually like. Howrah has its own way of doing things, and we’ve been part of this community for a while now. We don't have a big corporate lobby; it’s just a room where we sit down with blueprints and coffee to figure out the week ahead. Being in a residential area like this keeps us connected to the people we’re actually building for. We spend a lot of time walking around the different sites, making sure the brickwork looks right and the laborers have what they need. It’s not always easy, especially when the rains come and everything slows down, but that’s just part of the life here in West Bengal. We try to be sensible about how we work. No one here is trying to be a big shot. We just want to get the projects finished so families can move in. Most of our days are spent on the phone or out in the sun. It’s a simple way of running a business, focusing on the bricks and mortar rather than anything else. We’ve been at it for a bit and plan to stay around here for a long time.
