Fabcon India

If you head over to No. 89/1 Dharmutalla Road in Salkia, you’ll find the shop for Fabcon India. It is a place where we are always busy with metal and tools, so it’s never really quiet inside the building. The sound of cutting and hammering is just part of the background for us now. We have a small office space carved out in one corner where the paperwork gets done, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. The air smells like burnt metal and grease, which is just how a fabrication place should be. We have been on this road for a long time and everyone around here knows who we are. The trucks come in and out all day long, dropping off raw materials or picking up things we’ve finished. Our desks are usually covered in a thin layer of dust no matter how much we wipe them down. It is hard work and the days are long, but we just get on with it without much complaining. We drink a lot of water because it gets really hot near the machines during the summer. There are no fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and a few photos of projects we did years ago. It’s a practical place for practical work, and we stay busy from the moment we open the doors in the morning.
